2024 Free Fall Run Program





Team BBMC is excited to offer a FREE run program open to the public this fall. It's the perfect season to run, and our program is the ideal way to make the most of it. 

You'll have a coach who provides workouts, helps with your form, pushes you, and answers your questions. Plus, you'll run with a great group of people in a positive environment—what's not to love?

Our program stands out because it's completely FREE. We also offer a variety of training sessions and a few timed 5K events for those who aren't racing but want a goal to work towards.

CAN YOU GIVE A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM ?  

Yes! 

This program is completely free and 7 weeks in length. It will offer a variety of workouts that on most weeks will include a Tuesday pub/social run, a Thursday speed/hill run and Sunday longer trail run. 

All abilities are welcome. Generally speaking there will be workouts geared towards three groups...those looking to get/stay fit, those looking to run the Madison Half Marathon, or those looking to do one of the 5k events that we will put on as goals to work towards.

The locations and details are given in a public google calendar and will be updated before the start of the program. See below for more broken down details, links to the calendar and FAQ's!

WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM DATES ?  

The program runs September 24th - November 10th.


WHEN HELD, WHAT DAY & WHAT TIME DO WE RUN ? 

Tuesday @ 6:00 pm

Thursday @ 6:00 pm

Sunday @ 8:00 am


WHERE ARE THE RUNS HELD ?

You can find the BBMC run calendar HERE. The calendar will have locations and key details to know. 

  • Tuesday runs will leave from a brewery, or other fun spot around town.
  • Thursday runs will rotate between a few of our favorite speed / hill work locations
  • Sunday runs will hit the trails at area parks most weeks!

WHAT IS THE FOCUS OF EACH RUN ?

  • Tuesday - Social fun run focused on form & frequency. 
  • Thursday - Speed, hill or quality run. 
  • Sunday - Longer trail run, though a few weeks will be on the road.
            * Note that the 5k events/days will be held on Saturday's. See the calendar for details.


WHAT WILL THE WORKOUTS BE LIKE ?

Generally speaking, each session will have three main workouts that can be adjusted to meet athletes where they are and what they need. 

  • Those looking to stay moving, have some fun and work hard without an event in mind.
  • Those training for the Madison Half Marathon.
  • Those who would like to run one of our 5k events

WHEN ARE THE 5K EVENTS ?
  • Saturday, October 19th
  • Saturday, November 9th

DO I HAVE TO COME EVERY WEEK OR EVERY DAY?

No! Come for some or come for all, no obligation, whatever works for you. That said, the more you come, the more you will get out of it.

DO YOU OFFER MORE IN DEPTH RUN COACHING ?

Yes.

NEW and starting in October 2024, BBMC will be offering lower single sport coaching rates for all levels of coaching (Personal, Team and Remote athletes). Check back to www.teambbmc.com for new rates and offerings, which will be posted shortly.
